ReIGNITE Hope Dallas, in partnership with Grace Bridge, graduated 6 more students anxious to change their lives and provide for their families. Pictured above are the 6 students bookended by Darr Healy on the right who volunteers his time to train the students. On the left, our own Steve Bunyard who visited to assist with certification day.
Their graduation ceremony was attended by 50 of their family and friends along with Grace Bridge staff. Phil Hocking, who orchestrated the relationship with Grace Bridge and founded ReIGNITE Hope Dallas, presented the diplomas.
Dallas's first Mobile Training Center, outfitted with 6 welding stations (capable of training 12 students at a time), is a 24-foot trailer powered by a portable generator. This last class was held in the trailer and it worked great! They've now been invited to hold a class with 12 inmates at a nearby prison.

Adam, a recent Dallas graduate, heard about the program in prison. Darr says he had a great attitude and helped others in the class. His wife was so proud of his accomplishment, she turned his certification test plates into bookends. He is now a certified welder! | Alex was an excellent student. The welding skills and certification he's now gained will be a great help to him in his current job and more valued by his employer. He works with a professional horse trainer. Fences, gates and equipment (anything metal) will be in his wheelhouse! |
